The Event
Renewable energy is most likely on everyone’s mind with rising energy prices across Europe. There are also concerns around the availability of fossil fuels from Russia and the contribution that fossil fuels make to climate change. The UK Government is looking to completely decarbonise the UK power system by 2035 and the EU have recently announced their “REPowerEU” plan for more affordable, secure and sustainable energy by 2030. Things are likely to start changing and it’s best to have an idea of what the future holds for your organisations. While this event won’t change the world alone, it’s a place for businesses and organisations to start thinking about how to do things differently with renewable energy and change things for the better for everyone. The event program is still being finalised but will include:- Presentation from CREST@UCS with a general overview of renewable energy,
- Presentation from The Clean Tech Business Group which will look at on-site energy generation plus a look at emerging technology on energy storage and refrigeration.
- Case study by JT Hughes looking at electric vehicles
- Case study by Optimise Energy looking at Solar PV
