The event
STBA (Sustainable Traditional Building Alliance) with funding from DECC have developed a Guidance Wheel for responsible retrofit in traditional buildings (pre-1919). Encraft are offering West Midlands-based SMEs exclusive access to the Guidance Wheel through a case study focused pilot training session. This session would be led by Steven Coulsting, Senior Consultant at Encraft – an architect with over 20 years’ experience including extensive experience of working with traditional buildings. This is an interactive event to demonstrate the use of the Guidance Wheel and how in practice it may help the designer arrive at retrofit solutions which are more robust and effective. It will help avoid unintended consequences and ensure that solutions are considered more holistically in relation to the many aspects of a building and its performance.
