The Event
RWM is the UK’s largest trade show for recycling and waste management, providing the biggest platform for world changing innovations that are shaping the future of sustainability.
RWM has grown to attract 12,000 professionals from across the recycling and waste industry and beyond to network and build beneficial relationships for the future. The visitors all share a vision of a cleaner and more resource efficient future, and RWM put these ideals in the spotlight.
Across the two days RWM boasts unrivalled seminar schedules delivering expert advice and guidance, live demos of the latest and greatest technology as well as hundreds of market leading companies coming equipped with their finest solution led products and services. RWM, in partnership with CIWM, is the only UK event of this scale for the recycling and waste industry and brings the industry together unlike any other event on the market.
As partners of the UK’s largest Recycling, Resource & Waste Management Event we are so excited to reconnect with the sector at an event the industry can truly be proud of. This year RWM highlights the importance of a Circular Economy in 1 of its 11 theatres, and how the recycling and waste management industry is adjusting to include resource management.
What to expect?
Expert speakers, development & training. RWM will cover relevant topics such as the handling and recycling of materials, innovations and new technologies, and their role in the circular economy including seminars, live demos, and case studies. Which CPD accredited seminars will you attend?
- Delivering the future workforce for a resource based economy: Adam Read, Director of External Affairs, President of CIWM – SUEZ. Looking at policy reforms and the demands of a green recovery and NetZero carbon what will the resources & waste management sector look like? What will be the key new roles? What new skills and competences will be needed to deliver on circular economy business models, heightened repair and refill, and more quality materials that fuel the greening of many other sectors? How do we plan for green jobs?
- Fashionable Recycling: creating new opportunities: Oleksii Kotyk, Director – Pink Elephant Group Ltd. Fast fashion is creating a mountain of textiles being thrown away each year. New initiative, Textile2030, led by WRAP, harnesses the knowledge and expertise of UK leaders in sustainability and accelerates the whole fashion and textiles industry’s move towards circularity and system change in the UK.
- Protecting the ocean from plastic pollution: the role of technical solutions: Yokshan Makonnen, International Development Manager – The SeaCleaners. This seminar will introduce the ground-breaking solution for the collection and recovery of floating plastic waste developed by The SeaCleaners: the Manta, a sailboat equipped with an onboard plant, which will be launched in 2024. This giant of the seas will be the first ocean-going vessel capable of collecting and treating floating ocean waste en masse before it breaks up and penetrates the marine ecosystem.
