RWM is the UK’s largest trade show for recycling and waste management, providing the biggest platform for world changing innovations that are shaping the future of sustainability. Fashionable Recycling: creating new opportunities: Oleksii Kotyk, Director – Pink Elephant Group Ltd. Fast fashion is creating a mountain of textiles being thrown away each year. New initiative, Textile2030, led by WRAP, harnesses the knowledge and expertise of UK leaders in sustainability and accelerates the whole fashion and textiles industry’s move towards circularity and system change in the UK.
Protecting the ocean from plastic pollution: the role of technical solutions: Yokshan Makonnen, International Development Manager – The SeaCleaners. This seminar will introduce the ground-breaking solution for the collection and recovery of floating plastic waste developed by The SeaCleaners: the Manta, a sailboat equipped with an onboard plant, which will be launched in 2024. This giant of the seas will be the first ocean-going vessel capable of collecting and treating floating ocean waste en masse before it breaks up and penetrates the marine ecosystem.
