The event
Staffordshire might not have been hit hardest by recent flooding, but we’ve all seen the huge impact across the Country of severe weather over the last few months. Being ready to deal with the impacts of severe flooding avoids damage, reduces disruption and saves money. The issue of risk from extreme weather has shot up the corporate boardroom agenda in the last few years, as the costs and frequency of weather disruption around the world have risen.
- The keynote speakers, from Wardell Armstrong, will be covering: What does climate change really mean, why would it affect me and is there a business opportunity? / What should we be doing to cope with climate change and what guidance is there?
- We will also hear from Alan Carr, Sustainability West Midlands (SWM) and Paul Davis from Nviro Insurance & Risk Management Ltd.
Businesses of all sizes are welcome. Staff with responsibility for environment, risk management, business continuity and / or health and safety may find this workshop particularly relevant.
