The Event
In association with Marches Growth Hub, Shropshire Chamber of Commerce and the Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP).
With corporate entities accounting for two-thirds of global energy consumption (REN21, 2018), a reduction in energy usage by businesses is imperative to reducing emissions, saving money and sustaining business operations.
The adoption of renewables is increasingly attractive and at this event, we’ll discuss the pros, the cons and the realities of energy usage within your business. This event will provide a chance to learn and network in a relaxed environment, and as always, lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Presenting at this event we are honoured to have John Vidal, until recently The Guardian’s environment editor and Dr Julieanna Powell-Turner, Research Director at CREST@UCS (University Centre Shrewsbury) and expert in environmental management and policy and previously Head of Research and a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Supply Chains at Cranfield University.
To join these presenters we are looking for businesses willing to present their approaches to sustainability via short case studies. If you would like to be considered please contact Craig Baker: craigb@shropshirewildlifetrust.org.uk
This event will also include the award presentations for the Marches Blue Business Award. Please click here if you would like to find out more and maybe you could be one of our next winners!
This event will provide a relaxed networking opportunity, and a buffet lunch.
