The Event
The Pump House Knowledge Hub will be running a series of hybrid workshops over March on the theme of ‘sustainability in the built environment’ with the hopes that these sessions will benefit businesses and organisations in the local area.
Details of the workshops are:
· Securing affordable warmth – how heat networks might be an answer (Wednesday 23rd March 9.30am – 1pm): Get clarity on what a heat network is and the different types of systems used. Work through the feasibility of ambitious proposals to harness the power of waste and natural resources to reduce energy bills for offices and homes in Shropshire.
· Securing affordable warmth – the business opportunities from heat networks (Wednesday 23rd March 12.30 – 4pm): Hear about the latest updates in legislation, regulation and funding for heat networks. Learn how this could provide a commercial opportunity for local businesses.
· Sustainable retrofit in practice (Thursday 31st March, 7:30am-1pm): Learn about some of the pitfalls and best practice in sustainable retrofitting as we walk you through some domestic and commercial retrofit case studies.
· Sustainable retrofit from the inside out (Thursday 31st March, 12pm-4pm): Learn about the business case and benefits for using alternative building materials.
