The event
The Faculty of Engineering & Computing’s BREEAM excellent building is a live demonstrator for sustainable construction. This project assists SMEs working in the construction supply chain across the West Midlands to improve their performance and generate competitive advantage in challenging economic times. The project offers collaborative development, assessment and innovative sustainable building solutions to enable companies to grow whilst delivering buildings that perform in use, use less energy and meet users needs.
Businesses have been able to use the facilities, see demonstrations of innovative building technologies, learn about their benefits, and test their own new products in a real environment. Specialist support is also available on use of the new technologies within organisations.
