The event

MEBC is asking its partners to identify the ‘Top 5 must-haves’ to deliver Sustainable ‘Green Growth’ for the West Midlands in the next Parliament.  Their free to attend event, staged in partnership with Friends of the Earth, will be focused around the findings of the 2013 Green Alliance Report (Green Standard 2013) which sets out the performance of political parties in relation to Sustainable Development. MEBC has invited all the parties to attend with candidates or sitting MPs to join the session to hear the views of businesses, social enterprises and community groups on the actions required to support sustainable business growth; maximise the creation of related new jobs; enhance and maintain the natural environment; implement sustainable transport services; and improve overall health, wellbeing and quality of life for residents across the West Midlands. The event will also provide an opportunity for all political parties to set out their proposals and respond to the criticisms raised by the Green Alliance Report.
