The event
The next Sustainable Development Officers Network (SDON) meeting will focus on the Green Economy. The aims of the workshop are as follows:
- To understand how SWM’s support programme can help your LEP to maximise the low carbon and green business opportunities.
- To gain a clear understanding of the various low carbon funding streams and cross-LEP opportunities that support local delivery.
- To learn from previous funded low carbon programmes and their successes and challenges for the new programmes.
Topics from speakers will include an overview of recent LEP funding strategies from a low carbon perspective as well as evaluations from previously EU funded projects and how these can help inform the development of new projects. The key to this workshop is to discuss the potential for cross-LEP working and to learn from what other LEP areas in the West Midlands are working on from a low carbon and climate resilience perspective. There will be a chance for discussion and to ask questions of speakers and other delegates. Click here for an agenda.
