The Event

SWM present a virtual networking event for SWM members only to meet up, understand more about your shared goals and discover what opportunities for collaboration with SWM there are coming up.

 “This year, SWM really listened to our members feedback and heard one common theme… “we want to know more about everyone else”. SWM reminisced to the success of our first Summer Social in 2019 held in-person and got planning.

 You will hear from Anna Bright (SWM Chief Executive) on how we have worked with members to deliver key sustainability projects with measurable outcomes, and on the exciting plans for our forthcoming 20^th ‘Big Birthday Bonanza’ planned for 08 March 2022! There will also be crucial updates from Alan Carr on everything you need to know about the Climate Change Committee’s third risk assessment outcomes, and a presentation on the first analysis of SWM Roadmap to 2030 themes from Kristin Lombard.

 The rest is pure and simple networking, as requested by our members.

• Welcome to our second members-only ‘Late Summer Social’, followed by presentation on:

‘What has SWM done for their members lately?’ – Anna Bright, SWM Chief Executive and Julie Pope, SWM Office & Stakeholder Manager

• Speed Networking for 50 minutes! 5 facts, 5 minutes per member – go!

• Climate Change and Adaptation; ‘What you need to know from the Climate Change Committees third risk assessment’.

• Working together, forward together. A snapshot of cross-sector projects SWM have done with our members.

• Roadmap Breakouts!

With our Roadmap to 2030 fresh in your minds, we will allocate members into their first or second choice of Roadmap-themed breakout rooms. You can use your ‘1 thing you have done for the Roadmap’ as a point of discussion, or bounce between rooms as you see fit to meet other members. Your choice, your event.
