SWM are delighted to announce that our Senior Sustainability Adviser Alan Carr will be speaking at the conference on the importance of climate change adaptation in the NHS, a topic that we will be focusing on this year in our collaborations with the Environment Agency.

About the conference

Following the 2017 Naylor Report into NHS Estates, it has been estimated that estate upkeep costs have reached approximately £10bn in annual funding for 2019/2020. In response to this, in 2021/22, the NHS capital budget has been increased to begin work on new hospital buildings, hospital upgrades, the replacement of old diagnostic equipment and make further progress on mental health inpatient facilities.

This conference provides delegates with bi-annual updates on the national strategy and policy being constantly updated and delivered across the estate, event partners, Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust, will be involved and provide delegates with exclusive updates on their grand designs project being developed.

The NHS Estates & Facilities Conference 2023 will provide a timely platform for NHS estates leaders to meet and discuss some of the most pressing issues being faced today.

Best practice sessions will provide you with ideas and solutions that can help you drive productivity and improve outcomes for your organisation.

The Convenzis NHS Estates Conference series is the leading complimentary 1-day webinar for NHS Estates and Facilities professionals in the UK. Over 800 sector professionals have joined over the last 18 months to listen, learn and engage directly with key policymakers and peers from across the UK.

The NHS backlog maintenance bill has risen to over £9 billion, while the annual bill for running the NHS estate totalled £9.7 billion in 2020, this is according to recently released figures from NHS Digital.

As we enter a new year, this conference aims to provide key planning guidance and practical examples of best practices from across the NHS and commercial sector.
