The event
The West Midlands Regional Innovation Centre (West Midlands RIC) is one of six innovation centres across Europe that are working to develop the low carbon economy within their regions. The West Midlands RIC is holding a Launch Event to promote the projects, services and activities that it is delivering in 2014. The centres are funded by Climate-KIC, Europe’s largest public-private partnership focused on tackling climate change. The key projects that will be showcased at the event are; Pioneers into Practice – a grant funded professional exchange for programme working with partners all over Europe. Low Carbon Accelerator – a grant funded programme to encourage new start-ups and entrepreneurs. Education Programmes – a range of grant funded programmes aimed at students, professionals and organisations. The event is aimed at the following individuals and organisations that either have a low carbon agenda or are considering ways of developing one; – Public sector organisations – Charities and community groups – Universities and colleges – Large businesses and SMEs – Students – Entrepreneurs – Individuals and self employed
