The Event
Smart Grids and new ways of managing energy infrastructure are creating significant opportunities for local authorities and social landlords. Upgrading the national grid in a ‘smart way’ using data on electricity use and generation to efficiently manage electricity loads potentially have a major impact on how we manage energy in buildings and will ultimately reduce costs on our energy bills. It could also mean changes in the way customers buy and sell electricity, creating new opportunities for some communities, local authorities, social landlords and individuals. To look at this ‘smart’ grid opportunity in-depth, Encraft are organising a regional half-day conference. This event will bring together some of the leading organisations and stakeholders who will present their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges in this rapidly growing area.
