The event

Greta Thunberg has made a huge impact in bringing climate change and sustainability issues to public attention. So what can we learn from her to increase our own impact on the sustainability agenda? Women in Sustainability (WINS) exists to help women flourish in careers that are building a sustainable world. This event will focus on topics such as: personal impact, resilience, engagement, how to have your voice heard and dealing with criticism, both positive and negative. This will be a friendly, informal and highly interactive session, led by Adele Bryant: Adele is a Personal Brand and Business Strategist who connects, champions and celebrates courageous and innovative entrepreneurs and organisations who are on a mission to create positive impact.Having spent almost a decade as a scientist at the forefront of global pharmaceutical research and innovation for AstraZeneca and Sanofi Aventis; introducing two breast cancer remedies into pre-clinical trials and commercialising an international asthma drug, Adele now spends her time empowering and enabling business leaders to break the mould, shatter glass ceilings and achieve more than they ever believed possible. She is passionate about well-being and equality in education, and currently sits as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for ‘The Gingerbread Centre’, providing accommodation for homeless families and pregnant women. To unwind, Adele loves nothing more than exploring the great outdoors with her family, unleashing her flair for creative interior design and reading a good book with a cheeky G&T. As ever there will be the space and opportunity to network and share experiences with colleagues in the wider sustainability community. There will also be the opportunity for delegates to update the group on news and events. We look forward to seeing you there!
