The Event
Through the WMCA’s Community Environment Fund grant, we have awarded over £200,000 to community projects to promote the reuse, repurposing, and repair of materials to prevent valuable resources going to landfill.
This workshop will be an opportunity for you to hear from these community groups, to learn more about their projects and provide you with practical tips and potential project ideas that you can take back to your community.
The workshop is open to any community group based in the West Midlands who are interested in learning about the funding and skills opportunities within the reuse space.
The workshop will be run by Debbie Ward, project lead at the Reuse Hub in Wolverhampton.
Alison from Make Good Arts will share their journey of creating a repair café and their repurposing workshops.
We also have the exciting opportunity to visit the Reuse Hub and see how the Hub diverts surplus materials from construction sites and associated supply chain from incineration and landfill for the local community to use.
