Your Green Future
The event
Schools from across Solihull and Birmingham are invited to attend, free of charge, the 2018 Your Green Future event. The event is suitable for year groups 7 to 13 and the maximum number of students your school can bring is 35. During the day students will take part in a range of interactive workshops where they will complete a series of sustainability challenges, supported by mentors from business. They will also visit a Careers Pathways Exhibition providing an opportunity to speak to diverse organisations and education providers. Overall the event:
- Introduces students to a wide range of sustainability-related careers and the courses available to help them work towards these potential careers
- Enhances students’ knowledge and skills
- Links to the National Curriculum and a wide range of college courses
- Provides ideas and inspiration surrounding sustainability for your school
- Offers networking opportunities with businesses and other teachers
- Is CPD accredited, and provides activity ideas to take back to the classroom.
Event supporters include Jaguar Land Rover, Balfour Beatty, Network Rail and IKEA.
