Warwickshire County Council are offering decarbonising grants for small businesses in the region.
The Council Plan for 2020-2027 sets out their continued commitment to support businesses with recovery and growth and of their commitment to support businesses transition towards a goal of decarbonising Warwickshire.
The County Council has established The Warwickshire Business Support Green Recovery Grant Scheme, a new initiative that will deliver £300,000 in decarbonising grants for Warwickshire businesses, as part of Warwickshire County Council’s overarching Covid-19 recovery and investment programmes to support local economic recovery.
The Warwickshire Business Support Green Recovery Grant Scheme will provide capital aid to assist businesses with decarbonising projects which support long term sustainability and growth of the local economy.
The scheme will offer grants between £1,000 to £20,000, is open to small micro sized businesses, with operations defined as at least 50% Business to Consumer, with a registered priority SIC code with Companies House as at 30 September 2022 and within the Warwickshire Area who meet the grant eligibility.
As part of this process businesses will be required to evidence plans to reduce carbon, and a full energy audit will be required upon initial application. The Council’s partners at Coventry City Council will facilitate this energy audit and other preliminary checks will also be undertaken. Subject to this eligibility and completeness criteria being satisfied, businesses will be invited to full application.
