Marches Energy Agency (MEA) is an independent charity supporting communities in the Midlands.

MEA deliver practical solutions to reduce fuel poverty and cold homes, promote energy reduction and encourage the uptake of renewable energy. Their overriding objective is to support householders.

Their large and varied portfolio of projects falls into a number of distinct themes:

Energy Strategy: helping organisations understand their energy & environment impact and develop strategies for improvement

Affordable Warmth: assisting people find ways of keeping their homes warm and healthy at lower cost

Community Energy: mobilising and supporting communities to use/generate energy more sustainably

Knowledge and Learning: providing the skills and information to take action on energy use

Events and Engagement: Involving and inspiring people in energy efficiency and sustainability

Energy Monitoring: giving individuals the data to control their energy use

Research: developing the insights and techniques needed for more progress for everyone

SWM has endorsed and promoted the work of MEA for some years and are delighted to continue to do so.
