The Charity Shop Gift Card is a social enterprise that operates a gift card that can only be redeemed in participating charity shops.
Backed by the Charity Retail Association, the gift card is offered to consumers that are looking to live more sustainably and also to councils, charities and other support agencies that provide financial support. By utilising the gift card scheme, councils are helping to reduce landfill, promoting the circular economy and ensuring that funds are spent at local charity shops. With charities playing an important role in our communities, the additional revenue is invaluable, generating much needed funds for their tireless work and creating local employment.
The gift card is accepted at a growing number of charities including national charities such as YMCA, The Children’s Society, Marie Curie but within the West Midlands is accepted at Acorns and Myton Hospice shops.
