West Midlands Fire Service

West Midlands Fire Service is the fire and rescue service for the metropolitan county of the West Midlands.

The service is the second largest in England, after London Fire Brigade. The service has 38 fire stations, with a blended fleet of vehicles and specialist resources.

On their membership with SWM, they say:

“The West Midlands Fire Service has ambitious sustainability goals, that are directly aligned to the values of SWM and the needs of the communities of the West Midlands. Our mission statement is ‘to make the West Midlands safer, stronger and healthier’, and we intend to reinforce this vision using a variety of sustainable strategies, including an ESG framework, to monitor and improve our operations.”

Our primary contact is Ian Greatbatch, Fire Officer.
