£20m Future Mobility Area Investment in West Midlands

The West Midlands is to become the UK’s first Future Mobility Area, receiving £20million of Government funding. West Midlands Mayor Andy Street has announced funding for new methods of transport that will be trialed in the county. This new mobility area will ensure that an integrated transport system in the West Midlands provides affordable, fast, and straightforward transport for anyone travelling in the West Midlands, whilst also creating a more environmentally sustainable transport network. It is hoped that this scheme will benefit those especially who use multiple forms of transport by making onward connections easier. For more information, click here.
