More than 50% of trailblazer projects set their sights on the new biodiversity market.
Accelar Limited has announced the launch of BNG Finder, a curated finding service enabling seamless transactions of biodiversity units, accelerating positive outcomes for the environment.
Accelar’s research, powered by its Nature Finance Impact Hub, indicates that more than half of England’s environmental demonstrator projects are specifically aiming to create and enhance biodiversity.
The 99 pilot projects involve landowners and conservation organisations from across England and have the potential to restore environmental systems associated with thousands of hectares of land and rivers. These trailblazers are supported by government funding such as the Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund and Landscape Recovery programme.
Some of the projects are market-ready – that is with ecosystem services to offer to invest in now – and many others will be in the coming months.
BNG Finder has been created to provide those cherished landscapes, and other high quality habitat creation projects, to be matched with developers who are seeking choice to fulfil their biodiversity net gain obligations.
