Are you a green dragon?

Do you have an idea for a product or service which could help tackle climate change?  If so Wyre Forest District Council and local low carbon community group Transition Kidderminster would like to hear from you. They have teamed up to find new green entrepreneurs.  They are searching for local people with innovative products, services or business ideas that can help tackle climate change.  This could be something which reduces energy use, helps generate clean power or makes our communities more self-reliant. The shortlisted applicants will get the chance to pitch to a panel of Green Dragons at Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday 24 January 2015 during the Green Home Show.  The winning entry will go forward onto the European stage and become part of the West Midlands EU funded Climate Knowledge and Innovation Community innovation programme.  It could help them transform their idea into a commercially viable business.  The judges will include Mike Goodfellow-Smith from the Innovation Team at Climate KIC and representatives from the Council and Transition Kidderminster. Interested? Contact Elaine.Halford-Bishop@wyreforestdc.gov.uk with a brief description of your business idea by Monday 20 January 2015.
