Birmingham Greener and Healthier Awards 2015

This year’s Making Birmingham Greener & Healthier Awards were launched yesterday at the offices of Mott MacDonald, SWM member and previous overall winners of the Sustainability & Recycling Awards 2014. Birmingham City Council, in partnership with environmental company Veolia, are inviting schools, colleges, universities, businesses, restaurants and food outlets as well as community groups and growing projects to become Birmingham’s next “green” champions. There are four main categories of entry:

  • Best Energy Efficiency Scheme
  • Best Waste & Recycling Scheme
  • Best Greener & Healthier Lifestyles (Food) Scheme
  • Birmingham Connected Sustainable Travel Award

Each category will then have a sub-category for business, community and education establishment entries. The winners will be announced at a grand ceremony taking place in the Banqueting Suite at the Council House on June 5.
