Communications Volunteer Role at A Good Thing CIC

A Good Thing CIC are looking for communication volunteers to help grow their new online charity platform.

Businesses are generating too much waste, whilst many charities are in need of more resources. A Good Thing CIC believes that the two can be connected.

Their idea is simple: a business has something to spare, anything from a used laptop or some office furniture, and a local charity has a need, they have the ideas and dedication but need the resources to make it happen. A Good Thing makes the match!

Join A Good Thing CIC to help make this possible. Be a community champion by using your communication skills, and help drive more businesses and charities in your local area to sign up.

A Good Thing is a not-for-profit set up with one mission: to send less to landfill, and more to a good cause. They have a growing network of passionate local volunteer champions right across the country to drive growth.

As a communications volunteer, you will use your connections, such as friends, family and colleagues, as well as your insights into the local area. This will help build the number of businesses and charities signing up, in your part of the UK.

Make connections with businesses in your area, by taking A Good Thing to the doorstep, or by approaching businesses virtually. Using written communication skills will ensure positive communications are created that will engage and inspire.

Social media and online networking skills will be used to build links and relationships where you live.

Join the journey towards reducing waste and boosting local charities at the same time.
