Community Energy Fortnight, hosted by the Community Energy Coalition in association with Co-operative Energy, kicks off this weekend: This September the third annual Community Energy Fortnight (CEF) will be celebrating community energy projects through a series of events across the UK. The CEF is coordinated by The Community Energy Coalition (CEC), a group of trusted and influential civic society organisations and sustainable energy experts who are working to help enable communities take control of their energy. Forum for the Future acts as secretariat for the CEC. This year’s Fortnight brings an exciting range of events to showcase different community energy projects happening across the UK. There are opportunities to learn and explore how others are saving and generating energy in their homes, experience open days and tours, take part in discussions, and get training and advice to help make some plans of your own. Join events during the Fortnight to find out more about how community energy can benefit your local area and be inspired! Meet the communities taking control of their energy and find out how you can get involved. There are some events happening in the West Midlands for CEF 2015.
