Could Harbury be one of the ‘greenest’ villages in England?

Over the years since its inception in 2010 Harbury Energy Initiative has enabled dry lining insulation of the Harbury Village Library, cavity wall and roof insulation of our rugby clubhouse, energy options reports for the school, church, village hall and library, a PV generation display in the foyer of the village hall, set up an electric car club, installed LED lighting throughout the primary school and now enabled the village hall to have this new battery mentioned in the release. As a result of the latter 12 or more local households have installed batteries using Sure Power at a discount. Currently they are trying to get PV on to our school with SALIX funding and the help of INECO Energy but we await a response from the County Council. We are also trying to think what we can do around the issue of waste and recycling locally and are planning to talk to RSA about linking local small rural projects like ours.
