County council feedback needed for COOPENERGY project

Kent City Council is appealing for county and regional councils who are already working with local partners on sustainable energy initiatives to help them develop a new project called COOPENERGY.

The project aims to develop a range of resources to support County Councils and regional public authorities to work more effectively on supporting sustainable energy. In order to develop relevant resources Kent County Council is asking for feedback from other local Councils with regards to their own initiatives and strategies which focus on energy efficiency, housing retrofit and renewable energy.

To collate this information, Councils are being asked to take part in a short 15 minute survey which will be available online until 30 September.

Councils, who would like to take part in this survey, aside from supporting the development of the project, will also be given the opportunity to be selected as one of 60 good practice examples to be showcased on the COOPENERGY website and could be selected to participate in COOPENERGY’s international events with the chance to share experiences.

Councils interested in finding out more about COOPENERGY project or who wish to take part in the survey are asked to contact  samantha.simmons@kent.gov.uk.
