Reporting to the Group Head of Sustainability, the Sustainability Advisor will be responsible for leading campaigns and sustainability programmes across the University Group and supporting strategic objectives on climate change and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. You will provide expertise, innovation and creativity in broadening participation in sustainability and seek opportunities to enhance sustainability within the organisation. Working with internal networks and champions you will develop and lead projects and campaigns to engage staff, students and external partners in sustainability. You will also ensure ongoing improvement in performance through continued development of the ISO14001 environmental management system. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference and will have experience in delivering sustainability initiatives, environmental management systems, and reporting and benchmarking across a diverse and complex organisation. Excellent communication skills are essential as is an ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders and drive change. Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and seek new innovations and opportunities is also an essential part of the role.
