Department for Education approve WME energy frameworks

West Mercia Energy (WME) are delighted that their flexible gas and flexible electricity frameworks have been approved by the Department for Education (DfE).

Following a rigorous process of reviewing all elements of the frameworks including historic procurement performance, value for money and additional services, WME’s flexible gas and electricity frameworks have been recognised by the DfE.

The frameworks are now live on the DfE website, designed to signpost schools to trusted suppliers and frameworks.

Gavin Owen, Business Development Manager at WME said:

We are delighted that our frameworks have been approved by the DfE. This is testament to the high level of service provided by the team at WME, and the consistently competitive rates procured via our flexible frameworks. We currently contract with over 2,000 schools, academies and colleges and we are looking forward to working with the DfE to further support the education sector to navigate the tricky area of energy procurement.”

WME’s frameworks are now listed on the DfE’s “Find a Framework” webpage – Framework list – Find a DfE approved framework for your school – GOV.UK (find-dfe-approved-framework.service.gov.uk)

More information about the frameworks can be found on their website – Gas & Electricity – West Mercia Energy

WME’s flexible frameworks are compliant with Public Contract Regulation (2015). Both the gas and electricity frameworks are supplied by Total Energies Gas and Power and provide the option of 100% renewable energy.
