The Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute (EBRI) requires a Knowledge Exchange Associate to join an academic and operational team to work with research teams and business. The successful candidate will provide technical and scientific expertise as part of a major bioenergy demonstration, research and knowledge exchange project. The role is required to work closely with academics and technologists in EBRI and other University departments as well as business development professionals to support new industry related business and collaborative research projects. Experience in experimental research work involving computer models of sourcing decisions, supply chains and markets and evaluation is required, together with a competence in general bioenergy systems. You must have a first degree and ideally a higher degree in Sustainability Management or a related topic. There will be the opportunity to work offsite at exhibitions, seminars and events and to work directly with clients alongside the rest of the team. Although this work is in a structured environment, a high degree of initiative is required in order to achieve the required results from complex systems. You will report to EBRI’s Knowledge Exchange Manager and work closely with waste to energy and bioenergy processing research teams in EBRI.
