“Powering the UK”, a new report prepared by professional services firm EY for Energy UK, states that the energy sector in the Midlands directly supports around 26,000 jobs which is a fifth of the total energy employment across the UK. In 2013, energy sector job creation in the West Midlands increased by 2,000 jobs compared to 2012.
