Environmental Support Assistant – Job Opportunity

Staffordshire County Council has a vacancy in its Business Support Team as part of the Economic Planning and Future Prosperity Service in the Place Directorate. They are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join the team, to run the Staffordshire Business Environment (SBEN) Network and support the operation of Low Carbon Business Evolution Programme (LCBEP) an England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) project. Closing date for applications: 4 January 2018 Recruiter: Staffordshire County Council Location: 1 Staffordshire Place, Tipping Street, Stafford ST16 2LP Salary: £21,962 – £24,964 per annum pro rata Working hours: 27 Hours per week Job Description:  You will play a key role in the running of SBEN – working with Staffordshire businesses to increase competitiveness and profitability while at the same time improving environmental awareness and reducing their environmental impacts. Your role will help manage the networks finances, plan and organise events and liaise with members. You will also support the delivery of LCBEP across the Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire LEP area in managing and monitoring finances and audit trails. The County Council is seeking a person with demonstrable interpersonal skills, experience of managing and maintaining budgets, knowledge of environmental issues facing business and of organising events.
