Federation of Small Businesses awards local authorities approach to businesses
Recently councilors and officers involved in economic development from across Staffordshire, Birmingham and the Black Country were brought together for the region’s inaugural Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) Small Business Friendly Awards.
Staffordshire County Council won the award for the Best “Small Business Friendly” Procurement Policy. Stafford Borough Council won the award for Best All Round Small Business Friendliness.
Tamworth Borough Council and Lichfield District Council picked up the commendation for Collaborative Working.
These Awards identified the best small business friendly initiatives undertaken by the region’s local authorities and also highlighted the benefits for small businesses across the region.
Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership is pleased at the work the public sector continues to do in supporting the private sector in helping business to grow and create jobs.
