The Environment Agency is excited to announce that we are now accepting nominations for the Flood & Coast Excellence Awards 2021. These prestigious awards are a long-standing way to recognise the important work done in the previous year that has contributed to managing flood and coastal risk, building local flood resilience and taking action on climate change. The 2021 categories are:
- Climate Resilient Places
- Coastal Management
- Community Partnerships
- Digital Excellence
- Inspirational Person
- International Excellence
- Surface Water Management
- Towards Net Zero
To enter your nomination, download and complete the entry form. Please provide up to 4 additional A4 sides of supporting evidence such as written text, diagrams and photographs with to describe and illustrate your project, scheme or initiative. Please email your completed entry form and supporting documents with the subject ‘Flood & Coast Excellence Awards Submission’ directly to FloodandCoast@environment-agency.gov.uk. The deadline for submissions is 23:55 GMT on Sunday, 28 February 2021. Who can apply The Flood & Coast Excellence Awards are open to any project, scheme or initiative that has taken action on climate change linked to flood and coastal risk management or has contributed to managing and building local resilience to flooding. This includes projects, schemes and initiatives developed or supported by consultants, contractors and risk management authorities, as well as community-level initiatives. To be eligible, the project, scheme or initiative must have been completed or implemented between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2020.
