Buy For Good is seeking a diverse mix of suppliers, including consortia, wishing to participate in a multiparty framework for works, services and supplies; for use by, or on behalf of, UK public sector bodies.
Buy For Good considers that this framework may be suitable for SME’s.
The framework will cover supply & installation of energy efficiency measures in existing buildings for both dwelling & non-dwelling purposes, including those that facilitate microgeneration; particularly related but not exclusively to, Green Deal. The framework is divided into the following lots:
- Lot 1 – Insulation & Draught proofing including but not limited to cavity wall insulation, roof insulation, loft insulation, internal wall insulation, external wall insulation, draught proofing, heating system insulation, floor insulation, duct insulation, pipe-work insulation, sealing improvements.
- Lot 2 – Heating, ventilation, air-conditioning & refrigeration including but not limited to condensing boilers, hvac controls, fan assisted storage heaters, under-floor heating, heat recovery systems, mechanical ventilation, flue gas recovery devices, waste water heat recovery, high efficiency warm-air units, efficient hot water showers systems, taps & controls, chillers, radiant heating, variable speed drives.
- Lot 3 – Windows & Doors including but not limited to energy efficient glazing, high thermal performance external doors and solar blinds shutters & shading devices.
- Lot 4 – Lighting including energy efficient lighting systems, fixtures, fittings & controls.
- Lot 5 – Microgeneration including but not limited to ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps, water source heat pumps, solar thermal, solar PV, micro wind, biomass boilers, biomass room heaters with radiators, micro CHP, transpired solar collectors.
- Lot 6 – One Stop Shop (covering all lots) this will include supply & installation of multi-measures from lots 1 to 5.
Applications are sought from suppliers capable of covering one or more lots, if suppliers are applying for all lots they should only apply for the One Stop Shop.
Buy For Good will be using Birmingham City Councils e-tendering system for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest and download the pre-qualification questionnaire. Please go to the Birmingham City Council website.
The closing date for Expressions of Interest has been extended to 12pm on 3 October 2012 and completed pre-qualification questionnaires must be returned by 12pm on 5 October 2012.
