The UK Government has announced up to £1m of grant funding and £1m of private investment for firms who develop solutions to the worlds growing ocean plastic crisis. This funding is available to small or micro businesses. “The aim of this competition is to support new scientific or technological innovation to reduce plastics waste and deliver a more circular economy approach to plastic use (including for polymer-based textiles and elastomers).” This can also include innovative ideas for the reduction of plastic waste for businesses and individuals.
