Funding Opportunity: Air Pollution Reduction
The UK Government has launched a £5m funding competition for innovation to reduce pollution by vehicles and particulates in order to improve air quality. This is in order to combat the detrimental effect that air pollution has on quality of life as well as public health, killing many people each year. Improving air quality is therefore a priority to reduce this, as well as reducing the strain on the NHS who have to deal with this issue that is largely avoidable with technology and innovation to reduce air pollution.
This funding goes beyond conventional exhaust fume reduction such as focusing on refrigeration, industrial vehicles with combustion engines, and tyre wear on roads: all of which constribute in different ways to air pollution.
The deadline to register is 9 January 2019.
