Funding Opportunity: EnviroGrant scheme now open to local community groups in Birmingham until 30/11/2020

The Birmingham EnviroGrant Scheme has been set up by Veolia Birmingham to help local people improve their environment and/or community with grants of up to £1,000. The EnviroGrant is available for properly constituted, not-for-profit local organisations and includes charities, voluntary and community groups, forums, sports teams, societies and schools. Your team, group or society must be based and work within Birmingham.

Veolia is looking for exciting new projects to fund that will bring more environmental awareness to Birmingham to make the city more sustainable. Projects that look at reducing waste and single-use plastics, conserving natural resources, and reusing and recycling where possible will be favoured when awarding the grants.

The EnviroGrant is a fund for the following types of projects or schemes:

  • Those which contribute to the protection or improvement of the local environment, either via practical action or promotion and education.
  •  Those which improve the quality of life for the local community, by providing new facilities or improving those already in existence.

The EnviroGrant Scheme is now open for applications until 30 November to help Birmingham based
community groups, societies and charities to improve the environment around them. Eligible groups
can apply for grants up to £1,000 and a minimum of 10 groups will be awarded a piece of £10,000 pot.
