Funding Opportunity: HLF and the National Trust join forces to improve parks
The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) have joined forces with the National Trust to find and back ambitious and sustainable solutions to protect and enhance public parks and green spaces. This will be a £10m project known as the ‘Future Parks Accelerator’ and this money will be used to combat loss of urban green spaces and develop those that could benefit from that. Green spaces are important for health and well-being for local communities so their preservation is very important and could actually reduce strain on local services such as mental health treatment. HLF want to create community partnerships to ensure the long term future of these green spaces as areas accessible and free for all.
