Mott MacDonald has released a new integrated sustainability reporting on its website. This new innovative way of reporting is helping the consultancy to address the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), providing key indicators on how it is performing and allowing people to see current growth. The reporting is the first of its kind for a consultancy and Mott MacDonald hopes to lead the way in transparency on the push for sustainability. A fundamental part of the reporting is the integrated thinking aspect which allows a selection of indicators based on their materiality to the company, bringing together sustainability in all areas of the business and showing how they are interlinked. For example, in the Our Projects section Mott MacDonald’s carbon reduction initiative not only tackles SDG 13 on climate action and SDG 9 on industry, innovation and infrastructure but also touches SDG 7 on clean energy and SDG 11 on sustainable cities.
