Job Opportunity: Admin and Facilities Manager
£24,000 – £27,000 p.a pro rata
30 hours per week

We are looking for a self-starting, organised, friendly and flexible individual to manage the day-to-day operation of Birmingham Friends of the Earth’s environmental community building, The Warehouse. The Warehouse is BFoE’s lively hub in Digbeth, hosting meeting spaces, a Cafe, bike shop, independent radio, offices and wildlife garden. It helps us meet our objectives by providing a space for activism and environmental activity and income to support these. This role is crucial to our organisation in ensuring the building and its services operate well on a day-to-day basis. Role overview:
- Building management and compliance
- Meeting space and tenant management
- Finance / bookkeeping and membership
- Communications and information relating to the Warehouse.
This role is in a team of four paid staff, alongside a part-time Chief Executive, a full time campaigner and a cleaner. There are also regular volunteers. What we’re looking for: The post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills, and a proactive and problem solving attitude. We’re looking for some (paid or voluntary) admin experience, good time management and attention to detail. You will be enrolled on a contributory pension scheme, have a generous holiday entitlement, gain skills and experience, be part of a lovely team and a friendly Warehouse community.
