The City of Wolverhampton Council are currently seeking to recruit a Climate Action Monitoring Officer.

Their Green Cities and Circular Economy service area is looking for a Climate Action Monitoring Officer to support and accelerate their commitments.

Your existing skills within a fast-paced role, with multiple ongoing elements and effective forward planning administration will be key.

Effective and timely monitoring of climate actions, data gathering, dealing with FOI’s, updating internal Comms, and supporting the team with day-to day arrangements, will see you being initial point of contact and dealing with a range of matters. The ability to swiftly pivot between changing priorities at short notice will be required.

The Climate Action Monitoring Officer role as part of the wider service area, underpins the Council’s internal and external reporting against it’s 2028 Net Zero Action Plan: Our City : Our Plan principles, and the overall city-wide 2041 Net Zero Strategy (currently in development).

Your input and close engagement across council services, with external partners and stakeholders, providing update reports in different formats for different audiences will be fundamental to the team, elected members and senior management.
