Job Opportunity: Community Development/Integration and Inclusion Apprenticeships

West Midlands Trains are currently advertising 2 full-time apprenticeship schemes to begin in March 2019. These are 18-month schemes based in Birmingham. Both roles would be 4 days per week working for WMT and then 1 day per week at Solihull college to gain a Level 3 Customer Specialist qualification by the end of the apprenticeship. The 2 roles are as follows: Community Development apprentice focusing on:

  • Community rail projects across our network
  • Meetings and events
  •  Neighbourhood and community planning
  • Consultation and surveys
  • Administration and project support

Integration and Inclusion apprentice focusing on:

  • Access and inclusion issues across our rail network
  • Helping our Stakeholder Equality Group
  • Consultation events and surveys
  • Station travel planning and access projects
  • Equality and diversity projects
