This is a new role for the organisation to lead the Trust’ response to reducing its climate impact and help to meet the NHS Net Zero Carbon aspirations. The Trust has in place a Board approved comprehensive Green Plan to significantly reduce not only its controllable carbon emissions through reducing its energy consumption, but also to achieve a significant modal shift in active travel, support local producers, improve access to green spaces, reduce waste, and improve clinical pathways to be more sustainable. The successful candidate will provide focus and energy to the Trust’s Green Plan delivery, working directly to the Director of Capital Planning and Developments and accountable to the Chief Innovation Officer. The post holder will need to possess a proven track record in achieving the delivery of organisation wide schemes, excellent communication and influencing skills, project management experience, experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, and be comfortable working on their own initiative.
