Keep Britain Tidy is proud to announce the return of their Eco-Centres programme. This is due to an increasing number of enquiries from individuals and organisations keen to see its return. Eco-Centres has a rich heritage and ran as a popular programme up to 2006.
The Eco-Centres Award programme is aimed primarily at community and public buildings, but because the programme can be adapted to suit different settings, almost any organisation can join.
Keep Britain Tidy hope that centres will take up the opportunity to participate. Eco-Centres play a key role in Keep Britain Tidy’s Eco-Communities programme, which is about learning for sustainability between schools, centres, homes and other stakeholders within local communities.
In re-establishing the programme, Keep Britain Tidy are now offering the chance to have your work recognised and promoted to a wider audience. In addition they are very keen to work together with original members to develop useful resources before holding a national launch and larger scale publicity events in 2013.
