Launch of sustainable development interactive maps

A new suite of interactive maps has been launched by the Sustainable Development Unit showing progress on sustainable development across the country.  The maps show how the health and care system is performing across a range of areas including energy, water, waste, planning and reporting. You can compare regions’ performance (both by NHS and PHE) and see how things have changed over time. The maps show that the West Midlands health and care sectors has some catching up to do, especially in comparison to the South West which is performing well across the different areas. However, the West Midlands is doing well in reducing our water use – something that many other regions are finding difficult to do. The maps are a first of their kind. They will be updated annually and are accessible for all to use – so we hope you’ll find them useful. Start using them here.
