MADE20 awards open for entries

The MADE20 awards are open for entries. MADE20 is a different type of award. It is a celebration of good projects which have been built within the last 5 years that demonstrate good design and forward thinking ideas. Out of the entries 20 schemes will be chosen which show the potential for high quality design to transform the built environment in our region.

The awards aim to showcase architecture, urban design and landscape architecture in the West Midlands. While some winners will inevitably be from established firms in the region and beyond, they also aim to highlight new and emerging design talent, the ‘ones to watch’.

What they are looking for:

Whether the submission is a single bespoke dwelling, a new housing estate, retail or office development, a converted listed building or a new public space, or you feel it has contributed to the quality of the built environment, MADE20 would like to hear from you. They are looking for schemes designed for the West Midlands; the client and design team can be from anywhere in the world.

There will be no overall winner. The judges will select twenty projects that are exemplars for transforming the region and should be awarded recognition for the quality of their design. Submissions can be made by architects, clients, local authorities or anyone involved. Student projects or speculative designs will not be accepted.
