Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust have highlighted concerns in relation to the government consulting on the National Planning Policy Framework, the concerns are that the proposals may significantly weaken protection for local wildlife sites. The new National Planning Policy Framework guidance the government is consulting on no longer mentions Local Wildlife Sites which puts them at risk of future development, there are 586 sites across Birmingham and the Black Country. We need your help – this page on our website has everything you need to respond to the consultation, raise awareness and lobby your MP for their support www.bbcwildlife.org.uk/ActSwiftly. We only have until 8th May to protect our Local Wildlife Sites for future generations of people and wildlife. Please help.
