Through the new ‘Buy For Good’ Framework, public sector bodies and green deal providers are able to access a high quality, pre-approved energy retrofit and micro-generation supply chain.
The frameworks became available on the 1 April 2013, and will run until the 31 March 2017. Their scope includes installation and consultancy for energy efficiency and micro generation measures, and energy management services.
The Frameworks provide simple and efficient access to assured contractors and consultants, at competitive prices. The agreements comply with EU regulations, and with the Public Services Social Act through the delivery of social value. Individual buyers are able to award contracts from the framework following a mini competition process. As well as benefitting from the latest proven technologies and methods, this approach gives buyers the flexibility to specify their exact requirements, including key features that are important to them.
The frameworks can be accessed by signing up to Buy For Good’s Customer Access Agreement. There is no fee for using the frameworks.
